Situations We Help With

Whatever happened, we can help.

Most people don't come to us looking for a home care agency. They come because something changed. Here's where we most often step in.

01After an accident or injury

Car accident. Fall. Spinal cord or brain injury. Broken hip. Workplace injury.

02After a hospital stay or surgery

Joint replacement. Heart surgery. Stroke. Cancer treatment. Any discharge where someone is going home before they're fully back on their feet.

03Living with a disability

Physical disability. Developmental or intellectual disability. Cerebral palsy. Muscular dystrophy. Multiple sclerosis. Spina bifida. Autism. A child with complex medical needs.

04Managing a chronic condition

Diabetes. COPD. Heart failure. Parkinson's. ALS. Arthritis. Kidney disease and dialysis.

05Memory changes

Alzheimer's. Dementia. A diagnosis that's changing what someone can safely do alone.

06When the family caregiver needs help

A spouse who can't manage alone anymore. A parent caring for a disabled child who needs to work. An adult child three hours away. A family caregiver who is exhausted, or going on vacation, or facing their own surgery.

07Aging at home

Someone who is managing, mostly, but shouldn't be doing it entirely alone.

When you can't care for your pet

When you're in the hospital and your pet is home alone

An unexpected admission means somebody's dog hasn't been fed since this morning. We can go to the home that day — feeding, walking, litter boxes, fresh water, medications, and daily check-ins for as long as the stay lasts. We'll send updates so you're not lying in a hospital bed worrying. If a longer stay means boarding is the better answer, we'll help arrange that too.

When you're home recovering and can't manage the pets

After surgery, an injury, or a hospital discharge, the walking, lifting, bending, and hauling of pet care is often the first thing that becomes impossible. We handle feeding, walking, litter and cage cleaning, vet trips, and picking up food and supplies for as long as you need.

Nobody should have to choose between their recovery and their pet.

Available through private pay. Not covered by the Medicaid Home Help program.
